We just enabled the mixed mode in SharePoint. What does that mean?
You can manage http and https in a single web application. The source I used: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/kaevans/archive/2012/03/27/what-every-sharepoint-admin-needs-to-know-about-host-named-site-collections.aspx
section: “Hosted named site collections and SSL” Powershell:
# enable http and https protocol # $service = [Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPWebService]::ContentService $service.EnableHostHeaderSiteBasedSchemeSelection = $true $service.update()
After enabling mixed mode, you can change every site collection you want.
# change protocol set-spsite http://cust1.domain.ext -url https://cust1.domain.ext
